This Mass Audubon park has plenty to see with 1100 acres and 7 miles of trails, ranging from beginner to more advanced. You can spend hours hiking, snowshoeing, or even canoeing and see all the beauty that this wonderful park has to offer. The lush forests, calm meadows and pristine wetlands house a diverse group of wildlife. Next up on the nature adventure is a trip to Kennedy Park. This picturesque park, with 15 miles of trail, is perfect for a scenic hike, bike, or crosscountry skiing. Make your way up to the lookout point in the fall and see all the wonderful changing foliage Lenox has to offer. Pack a picnic and bring the family, this park has trails for every level of hiker.


The history that Lenox presents is nearly impossible to miss. If you’re up for a historical tour there are planty of places to visit. The Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum gives tourists the opportunity to hop onto a restored 1920s passenger car and take a historic train ride through the museum grounds. Every history buff has to check out The Mount, Pulitzer-prive winning novelist Edith Wharton’s home and gardens. Next on the list, you have to stop at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum. This extravagant mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum offers tons of education through lectures, exhibits and theatrical performances to teach visitors about the captivating historical changes to American life, industry, and society throughout the Nineteenth Century.


Finish off your trip with a taste of the wonderful arts that Lenox has to uncover. A visit to Lenox would be incomplete without seeing a Shakespeare & Company show. Operating all year long, Shakespeare & Company is one of the largest Shakespeare festivals in the country.
